Sausalito Rotary - A Message from the Club President

W elcome to the Rotary Club of Sausalito. We are a group of business professionals who represent a cross-section of the community. The Rotary Club of Sausalito is now in its 60th year. Over that time the club has done much to be proud of. Our club funds worthwhile projects in the community via fundraisers such as food booths for the annual Sausalito 4th of July celebration and Jazz and Blues by the Bay. By far, our biggest fundraiser is coordinating and directing the parking for the annual Sausalito Arts Festival every Labor Day Weekend. Through our separate Rotary Housing Corportation, the club created and manages a total of 32 units of Senior housing in Sausalito, and every year we host a Thanksgiving dinner for senior citizens. We also distribute vocational scholarships through the Educational Trust. We have built a field house for the local communcity, rehabilitated local parks, constructed bus shelters and performed a host of other local and international projects.

It is not all work and no play though. A big part of Rotary is fellowship. Club fellowship is a great way to get to know your fellow Rotarians, build lifelong friendships and have a good time. We participate in a variety of fellowship activities such as skiing, fishing, golfing, wine trips, bocce ball tournaments, college football games and any number of events we can come up with.

I encourage you to come visit. You are welcome anytime to come learn about Rotary and how you might become a part of this important international organization. You can be one those who help change the world.
