Susan Bross is a nationally accredited financial counselor who in 1993 established her private practice, currently located in San Rafael, California. She brings a multi-faceted background and combination of skills to her work - with a BA in psychology, 15 years experience in marketing and finance, 4 years as an addictions counselor. As a financial counselor, she works with individuals, couples and entrepreneurs throughout nation to help her clients develop a practical and emotionally healthy relationship with money.

Her talk today was about empowering your children to understand and handle money confidently and proactively.

Announcements

Dan Faber received a Paul Harris Fellow+1 today.

Maureen annouced that the district raised $106k selling raffel tickets and our club raised $22k. Way to go; let's hope they dont surprise us with another raffel next year; as most people were not overjoyed to have to sell them and ended up buying them rather than sell them.

Chris annouced that there are lots of upcoming programs at the BayModel. So check in with her if you are interested.

Rotary Day at Golden Gate Fields will be Saturday Oct. 18th. Pls. let Alberto Pinto know if you are interested in attending so he can get a head count. A bunch of us went last year & it was a lot of fun.

Chris has invited all the candidates running for City Council to speak at our meeting on Thursday October 2. If you think you might be bringing guests etc. - let her know so I can give the Yacht Club a heads up.

Last but not least - we are into a new Rotary fiscal year. So please remember there is $5.00 meeting fee each week even if you are not eating lunch. Pls. make sure you pay Herbie as you come in. Also keep in mind you if you decide you want to eat - pls. pay the $20.00.
