September 27     Fellowship Evening at Bella Villa Massina, Healdsburg

Over the last 6 years this event has been held bi-annually at this beautiful Bed 'n Breakfast, which is owned operated by former Sausalito resident, Jerry Massina and his partner Harold.  The villa is quietly nestled on a hillside overlooking acre upon acre of Sonoma Wine country vineyards.

This is a dinner event and Jerry, Harold and Steve Bogle deliver a wonderful dinner, usually of grilled steak, prawns, salads and baked potatoes.  Steve is in charge of organizing the menu and I don't know how he does but I have been attending this dinner for years and have never paid more than $20.

This year the Club will be providing transportation for up to 14 people in the Sausalito City van on a first signup basis, all others wishing to attend will have to drive up.  As has been his custom over the years, Paul Anderson is offering a night stay as his ranch which is not more than a 1/4 mile from the villa with breakfast cooked by Steve Bogel for anyone wishing to spend the night.

This year, as we did two years ago, we are asking participants to bring a couple of bottles of their favorite wine to share.

A transportation and event attendance sheet will be circulated at our lunch meeting on September 9, 2010.

Seating is limited to about 25 persons, so please signup early.
